HealingIMT

The video features Ayelet Connell, the president and founder of Manual Therapy Seminars, discussing Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT). IMT is described as a gentle form of bodywork aimed at addressing underlying causes of pain, mobility challenges, and overall health issues. Connell explains that IMT utilizes diagnostic and treatment tools to assess various bodily systems, including joints, muscles, bones, nervous system, circulatory system, organs, and even emotional and mental aspects. He shares examples of IMT techniques applied to conditions like frozen shoulder, emphasizing the approach's focus on addressing underlying structural dysfunctions rather than just symptoms. Connell compares IMT to traditional physical therapy, highlighting IMT's role in structural rehabilitation, complementing functional therapies. Overall, the video aims to provide an understanding of IMT's principles and applications in promoting greater function, reduced pain, and improved mobility.

Fifteen years ago, she encountered Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) while seeking solutions for their daughter's foot problems. Despite consulting chiropractors, orthopedics, and physical therapists, no resolution was found until they tried IMT, which alleviated the issue within two sessions and enabled their daughter to resume playing soccer. Motivated by this success, she underwent training in IMT, despite lacking prior experience. They were attracted to the supportive community and the therapy's effectiveness. Eventually, they became a certified IMT practitioner, establishing their own practice, all thanks to the positive outcome of treating their daughter's foot problem with IMT.

IMT works quicker and more effectively when a client participates in a home program. Each clients home program is customized to their circumstances. One modality utilized is NFP. NFP Neurofascial Processing is a technique used in IMT and is explained in this video. Other modalities are used as well and will be explained in your session.
